Big Idea #1: This is my Body
This evening in class, we discussed how powerful it can be to accept your body as it is right in this moment. We repeated "This is my body, this is where I *your name* live." Our body is not forever, it is where our beautiful soul resides only at this moment. We are not our bodies, we are so much more!
The meditation at the beginning of class helped us focus on exactly how we feel within our bodies, like our breathing or even in our skin. We tried to consider these things without trying to change them...to accept them just the way they are.
Big Idea #2: It's Okay to be Uncomfortable
We need to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. How odd does that sound? Things that we are uncomfortable with challenge us, make us ask questions, and make us think.
We are uncomfortable for a reason. Maybe we haven't faced our feelings about a person or situation. Maybe we are uncomfortable because we truly know the answer to a question and don't want to accept it.
One day, you may be able to joke with your own discomfort. "The Voice" inside you may say things that make you uneasy and your "Wise Woman" could contradict those things and eventually make you more comfortable.
Big Idea #3: You are Safe Now
No matter what made you lose your feeling of safety when you were young, you can take it back now.
You are an amazing, wonderful grown woman now and you are safe.
Whether you need to reconcile with those that hurt you, or break that relationship off, you can regain your own comfort.
You no longer need to be afraid of the dark or scared of the boogeyman. You are safe and free.
