Let's check out a few of our favorite Big Ideas from Week 4!
Big Idea #1: Your money is not your life
SARK told us " Relax. Your money is not your life! It just seems that way sometimes." Sometimes we need to realize how we view money and go back to money innocence. When we were children, having a penny or a dime made us rich! The possibilities of what one dollar could get us were endless!
As we grew older we decided that we HAD to make a certain amount of money to survive in the world, or how much money we made was an indication of our success. We need to reinvent our own definition of what money means and realize that "what we are worth is not about money."
Big Idea #2: Living with less

We found in class that some of us assumed we had to make a certain amount of money, or have an exact amount in savings to survive in the world. Life situations have changed some of our income levels and suddenly, we learned we can live with much less! One student realized when she worked significantly less because of an unforeseen situation, she got to do things she had always wanted to do, like take this class!
Big Idea #3: Making micromovements
The exercise we did together in this class was a Micromovement Wheel. We chose an activity that we have wanted to do for a long time (in some cases, 10 years or more!). One example was "Create my magical zen garden!". We then decided on micromovements to make that activity come to fruition, but not in list form. We made the movements delightful! "Go to the fertilizer store" became "Have a fertilizer adventure!". Changing the perspective of your micromovement can change your entire outlook on completing that activity. So, we all chose something we wanted to complete and we got ready for our own adventures!
