The Context

Patricia Albere is a transformational educator & contemporary spiritual teacher with a passionate focus on Evolutionary Relationships and transformation through collective consciousness.

For the last 40 years, her core commitment has been to teach from the emerging edge of consciousness, awakening others to the profound depths and infinitive wisdom possible between two or more people connected to something higher and greater.

Evolutionary Relationships are a powerful vehicle for transformation and the highest states of creativity and love.

Here are a few of our favorite Big Ideas from Week 2 - Evolutionary Impulse:

Big Idea #1: What is the Evolutionary Impulse?

The evolutionary impulse is an optimizing force. It moves through us and shapes our experience and lives.

If your soul is open to this dynamic energy, it can penetrate into what’s possible. If you're not blocking it, this optimizing force will move your experience of creativity, love, connectedness and manifestation in the most amazing ways.

When that force is blocked by ego, it gets constrained and distorted, and that leads to destructive aggression, chaos, ignorance, suffering, stagnation, depression, and even illness.

Our egos are so busy and can easily get in the way, and then we’re trying to figure out how to heal ourselves. We’re caught in this swirl of ego life. If we don’t allow the force to flow, then the dynamism can become negative.

Big Idea #2: Guided Meditation

Sit with your back straight. Where is your body fully aligned?

Follow your breath. Turn your attention inward.

Follow your body into relaxation. Your body knows how to go to a place where it's been the most relaxed ever.

Go towards whatever is there, instead of trying to avoid it or ignore it.

Do you experience any textures, weight, density, movement? Are there other parts of your body that are coming into your awareness? It doesn’t have to mean anything – just let it be, whatever is there.

Move to your heart: experience your physical heart. Any emotions?

Notice if you’re trying to follow something.

Move to the head center: what does the container feel like, not just the contents?

What does the field around you feel like? What about the invisible realms that we don’t always pay attention to?

The point here is to get even more intimate with your own experience.

Big Idea #3: What Are You Experiencing Right Now?

With a partner, you can engage in this exercise. Take turns, and just start with the question:

What are you experiencing right now?

As you answer, don’t analyze or tell stories. Just go towards it. The moment we are open, the next experience shows up.

Keep following it. You're not trying to solve anything – just trying to get more open and deeper.

As the listener, don’t interfere with the other’s experience. Let them continue unless they are following a thread, in which case you can ask them again: What are you experiencing now?
