Stop Stress and Live Free
with Jed Diamond
Stress can kill you and living with stress robs you of vitality and joy. Now you can eliminate deadly stress, without talk therapy or drugs.
According to the American Institute of Stress, as many as 75 to 90 percent of all doctor visits result from stress-related disorders. To cope with these complaints Americans alone consume five billion tranquilizers, three billion stimulants, and sixteen thousand tons of aspirin. The U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention found that 118 million prescriptions for anti-depressant drugs and 113 million for high blood pressure are written each year by doctors trying to medicate our way out of stress. In addition, more than 25 million Americans saw a psychotherapist last year.
Although stress impacts everyone, men are particularly vulnerable. According to social scientist Dr. Thomas Joiner, “Males experience higher mortality rates than females at all stages of life from conception to old age.” When men are stressed-out it impacts their wives and families.
Most of us have the sense that life is speeding up, information and energy are racing, we have to make too many decisions, and there seems more and more to worry about. New research has found that what creates more stress for people than anything else is having to constantly shift our attention. Unlike thirty years ago, the average person today is called upon to shift attention seven or eight times an hour. Many of us deal with stressful shifts ten, twenty, or even thirty times an hour.
Each interruption by a co-worker, client, or love-one, for instance, demands a shift in the way we think and feel. Each bit of T.V. news about the economy, conflicts in the world, the next election, shakes up our system. It’s no wonder we feel overwhelmed and out of control.
For years I’ve been looking for a way to reduce stress that is simple to learn, easy to practice, scientifically sound, and, most importantly, effective. I’ve found what I’ve been looking for, have tested it extensively, and now offer it to you. If you’re a man dealing with stress-related issues such as irritability, anger, depression, chronic pain, overweight, high blood pressure, sexual dysfunction, or worry—this class is for you. If you’re a woman concerned about the man in your life, you will learn how to help him while dealing with your own stresses more effectively.
